I'm comfortable with the build having a 1-2 level dip (when I've tried this I used a Rogue dip), but it needs to have at least 3 levels in Ranger, 1 level of Monk (for the unarmoured defence) but to make sure the total Monk+Ranger class levels are more than half the total character levels. To pick an answer, ideally I'd want the character to have proficiency in as many charisma-based skills (Deception, Intimidation, Performance, Persuasion) as possible, as well as maximise the average skill bonus with those skills and maximise the AC. There might be better ways to achieve this, but I like the idea of mixing the two classes. ![]() I wanted to build the character around getting both charisma and wisdom on social skills, and the monk's Unarmoured Defence getting wisdom and dexterity to AC. You gain proficiency in one of the following skills of your choice: Deception, Performance, or Persuasion. Whenever you make a Charisma check, you gain a bonus to the check equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of +1). The Fey Wanderer at level 3 gets 'Otherworldly Glamour' I have a level 10 character (Monk/Ranger Fey Wanderer) in mind that I would want to make head of time, ready for a future game (should the opportunity arise). ![]()
